Mrs. Schwartz, Lake Shore Central's Middle School Gifted and Talented teacher, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Saint Bonaventure University and her Master's Degree in Creative Studies from the State University at Buffalo. An extensive experience in facilitating and teaching Creative Problem Solving along with a strong knowledge of adolescent brain development gives Mrs. Schwartz a broad based understanding of challenging students at the Middle School level. "My focus is to develop the students' ability to "bring something new to the table." Colleges and ultimately, employers, will be looking for candidates who are able to think, reason, and bring insight to their institutions. By nurturing creativity, critical thinking and problem solving, as well as developing solid Habits of Mind (Costa) students will welcome challenges and be productive, successful, happy members of society." - Schwartz |
