Pets : Our Amazing Classroom Pets!
Smores is our classroom bunny. She is
five years old. Smores is littler-trained,
so she can hop around the classroom all
day long! Smores is quite a character. She
has many moods and behaviors that are
unique to her. She has tantrums when she feels that she has been in her
cage too long. She has also been known to jump into the garbage can!
One of her favorite things to do is run up the emergency stairs, sit on
the window sill, and jump off! She can fly (At least she thinks so)! We
love to write stories about Smores (a.k.a. SUPER BUNNY)! Smores also
likes to play "Bunzilla" after the children have built roads with their
flip-tracks. :) Her favorite treat is animal crackers.

Olly is
our classroom guinea pig. She is a year and a half old. The children
love to hold her, read to her, and take her outside. She is very sweet
and loves the attention. Olly "sings" when she smells her food!

Crayfish We
are happy to have 5 crayfish that came from our fourth grade friends.
They studied the crayfish in the fall and didn't know what to do with
them when they were finished with their unit of study. We had a great
idea - BRING THEM TO THE ZEFFIRO ZOO!! We love to observe them. It's
really cool when they molt. You'll never guess what our crayfish like
to eat - canned corn!!
