Freshman orientation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Senior High School. This is a great session for incoming freshman to make a smooth transition into the high school. You will hear presentations from the administration, counselors, and school nurse and be able to tour the school. Please plan on attending on the 28th.

In preparation for the Junior Ball and Prom season, Lake Shore Senior High has hosted a Mock DWI crash on the High School grounds for all Juniors and Seniors. The events of today have been coordinated by Lake Shore Central Schools, Erie 2 BOCES EMS program, Evans Fire Department, and the Evans Police.
The simulation was a re-enactment of a DWI accident involving students. The purpose was to educate students and to heighten their awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. As Prom time and Graduation fast approach, we want to take every opportunity to keep our students healthy, happy, and safe.
I would like to thank all of the school personnel and community volunteers who made this activity successful.

There will be an additional Drug and Alcohol Seminar held in the Senior High School Auditorium on Thursday, November, 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. We have added this date for parents who have not gone to any of our other Drug and Alcohol Seminars so their child will be able to attend the December 15, 2007 dance.

The Senior High Music Department has moved their fall concert from Monday, November 5th to Wednesday, November 7th. Please make note of this change. The concert will start at 7:00 p.m.
