Kindergarten Registration Information |

Children expected to enter Kindergarten in the Lake Shore Central School District as of September 2009 should register between March 9 - 13, 2009. The school district will conduct Kindergarten Registration as outlined below.
· To be enrolled in the September 2009 Kindergarten class, a child living in the Lake Shore Central School District must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2009.
· Proof of age is required at the time of registration. A birth certificate, a baptismal record, or a passport will serve as adequate proof of age. Also, an official record of immunizations and proof of district residency is required for registration.
· All immunizations must be acquired by the start of school in September. Students without required immunizations will not be permitted to start school.
· Kindergarten Visitation - Parents and entering students will be invited to visit classrooms, take a short bus ride, and meet teachers before the start of school.
Please pre-register by calling the appropriate elementary school office to receive the necessary registration packet.
REGISTRATION LOCATIONS AND DATES
Registration packets can be picked up and completed during the week of March 9 – 13, 2009 in each school office. Parents can contact building offices to have packets mailed ahead of time to be completed and submitted during this week.

Incoming Kindergarten Parent/Guardian Information Night
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Middle School Auditorium
Parents who have registered their children will have an opportunity to hear from various school personnel including a principal, nurse, teachers, and school counselor. Parents are expected to attend the entire 2-hour session.
Parents of new Kindergarten students must attend this program in order for their child to be properly registered. All registration materials should be completed and submitted by Friday, April 24, 2009.
