Girls Softball Prepare for Play-offs |

The
Varsity Softball Team played a non league game against Eden yesterday
afternoon to prepare themselves for playoffs. The final score was
Lake Shore 5 Eden 2. The Eagles scored in the 2nd inning.
With two outs, Kaileigh Hubbard hit a single and then stole second.
She was then hit in by Sara Rieman who roped a double to center
field. The Eagles scored again in the 3rd inning, again
with 2 outs, by Katherine Caboot who drew a walk and was then hit in
with a hit to right center by Paige Anderson. Kelsey Anthon started
off the 4th inning with a triple and Kaileigh Hubbard hit
a sacrifice fly to score Anthon. Going into the 6th
inning with a score of 3 – 2, Kelsey Anthon and Kaileigh Hubbard
both drew walks and were followed by Ashley Friedman who loaded the
bases with a bunt. Andrea Reitz then drew a walk to score Anthon,
and Jillian Reitz hit a sacrifce fly to score Hubbard. Kalie
Michalski also contributed to the Eagle offense with a double in the
5th inning. Sara Rieman and Kelsey Anthon both split time
on the mound with a combined 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. Rieman alloed
one hit through 4 innings and Anthon allowed 4 hits. The Eagles
will travel to Albion tomorrow for their first playoff game. Go
