**Principal’s Message**
Dear Parents,
Exciting plans are being made for next school year! Class placement for 2009-2010 is about complete. Students will receive their classroom assignment information in the report cards on the last day of school. Extreme care was taken to best address social/emotional and academic considerations of our students. All parental input and requests were carefully considered. Fourth and fifth grade students will experience a team teaching approach next year, receiving academic content instruction from the various teachers in that grade level. Information will be sent home in report cards detailing academic teaming.

It is a great pleasure to work together. Thank you to all of the officers, parents, and teachers who attended meetings and contributed to the Highland community. I look forward to working with the energetic group of newly elected officers. Please consider attending a meeting next year and volunteering to be an active PTG member!
