Brant Science Fair Huge Success!! |

We had a beautiful day for our Science Fair. We began with our rocket launch demonstration outside with Mr. Ruffino. We even had a bovine onlooker - Bessy the cow came over to the fence and mooed approval. We had high school assistants from the Lake Shore Senior High AP science classes. The AP science students were our judges and science demonstrators. The judging began immediately after the the rocket launch demonstration and students shared their projects with the crowd listening attentively. Each student was asked questions by the judges . They did a wonderful job of looking over the project display, listening to the student's presentation and asking great questions. There were also several science hands-on activities for everyone to try. These included: Silly Putty making, Unbelieveable Bubble Making, Sink or Float, Helicopter Pilot license, The Stroop Effect, Parachute Drop, and Skewered balloons. Our program closed with presenting prizes to the students who had projects in the fair, dinasaur and butterfly cakes, drawings for door prizes and our exploding soda finale with Mentos to the 1812 overture. Everyone enjoyed the event. Thank you to all the AP Science students who helped with our Science Fair, to teachers and parents who assisted.
