The Boys Varsity Volleyball Team defeated Williamsville South 25-14, 25-19, 25-21 in Div. II competion. Sean Bellomo led the Eagles attack with 13 kills and 7 blocks while Nick McDonagh supplied 8 kills, 5 blocks and 4 aces. Kyle Benzing charted 7 kills and a career high 17 digs for the Eagles while Brett Farrell had 7 kills and 6 digs. Ben Senior did a stellar job in the front row providing a strong right side attack. The team's record moves to 8-2 in the division and 8-3 overall. The Eagles plays next at the Orchard Park Tournament on Sat. and Home against West Seneca East on Monday.
The Boys JV Volleyball team won their 9th game of the season with a 25-17, 18-25, 25-13 win over visiting Wills. South. The Eagles will look to avenge their only division loss on 10/19 when they host West Seneca East.
The Boys JV Soccer team lost a heartbreaking game at Hamburg on Thursday 2-1 in overtime. Kade McGarrity scored the lone Eagle goal and Kenny Budziszewski added the assist. Brett Matthews played great in goal and Kyle Tezanos, John Weber, Jason Mende, Silas Panfil, and Alvin Penders all turned in great defensive efforts. Austin Smith also turned in a solid effort in the midfield.
The Girls Modified Volleyball team defeated Cheektowaga last night: 20-9, 20-14, 20-12, 20-18, and 13-20. In the second game the Lady Eagles fought back from a 7 point deficit. Excellent serving performances were made by Alyssa Fiukto, Macy West, Jordan DeMartino, Darian Winters, and Allie Pappas. Molly Parker, Celina DeAngelis and Morgan Bomberski were vocal leaders on the court, while Molly, Renee Richardson and Kayli Judson did a nice job at the net. The Eagles now have 6 wins and 2 losses, and will face Amherst next on Monday.
