Internationally acclaimed educator and storyteller - Kevin Cordi - will be coming to Brant Elementary on October 28th. Dr. Cordi will conduct a full day of student workshops in our classrooms, an after school workshop for teachers and culminate in a wonderful family evening of storytelling in our cafegymatorium at 7:00 pm. Kevin will have our students participate in the evening performance - demonstrating some of what they learned earlier that day. This is truly a unique opportunity for all of us and I am hoping we will have an excellent turn out for the evening performance.
Dr. Cordi is an educator, storyteller, author and professor. He
currently teaches at Ohio State University at the College of
Education. He has co-authored a book entitled “Raising Voices:
Creating Youth Storytelling groups and troupes” and published numerous
articles in various professional journals. He taught English in both
California and Ohio and has many awards for his scholarship, writing
and teaching. He has been a requested presenter and performer in
England and Japan in addition to his many engagements in the U.S.
Please bring the entire family on Wednesday October 28th, 7:00 pm.
Popcorn and soda will be available courtesy of our PTG.
