Dear Parents:
Halloween is quickly approaching and I am looking for your help in making this event an enjoyable experience for all Highland students.
Our students will be involved in various classroom activities to celebrate the holiday on Tuesday, October 31st, and will be permitted to dress in costume. I am respectfully requesting your assistance in following the costume guidelines below.
I do ask that you choose a costume for your child that allows her/him to be seated comfortably at a classroom desk, and DOES NOT INCLUDE the following:
-weapons
-blood and guts
-severed body parts
-masks that cover the entire face and/or features dripping bodily fluids
-extremely loose fitting or over size clothing, as this type poses a safety concern
-excessive make-up covering the entire face
I am looking forward to Halloween with your children and I am pleased to announce the Highland Halloween Parade will begin at 2:35 around the traffic circle out in front of the school, weather permitting. Parents and siblings are welcome to join us in costume as well! Refreshments will be served for our spectators! Please complete the reservation form below.
With your help I am certain we will have a fun filled and safe Halloween Day at Highland. Once again, I do encourage you to choose an appropriate costume for your child. As Halloween draws nearer, your child's classroom teacher will provide more information about the festivities in the classrooms.
