The Character Education Theme for November is Responsibility
The weekly quotations are:
Week 1: You are responsible for your own
actions.
Week 2: Do what is right before being told.
Week 3: Responsible people always get the job
done.
Week 4: How have you been responsible this
month?
Parents:
It is difficult to believe that November has arrived
and in just a few short weeks the first trimester will come to an end. As we did last year we, are asking parents
to participate in Parent/Teacher Conferences to discuss your
child's progress and their report card grades earned during the first
trimester. This "standards based" report card will be distributed to parents
during Parent/Teacher Conferences on either December 7th
or December 8th. There will
be a noon dismissal on both of these days.
Many parents have already signed up for conferences, but
if you have not, you will be hearing from your child's teacher in the very near
future to schedule a conference.
During the conference your child's teacher will provide detailed
information regarding his or her progress that cannot be indicated on a paper
report. You will leave the conference
with a better understanding of the report card and a clear understanding of how
your child is progressing towards meeting the New York State Learning
Standards.
So much has changed in the educational system in the
past several years we feel that both you and your children will benefit as a
result of your attendance at the "Report Card Conference." Thank you for your continued support. On
behalf of the faculty we look forward to meeting with you at the report card
conferences.

Patronik
