Sophomores & Juniors:
Erie Community College is offering a "Summer College Experience for High School Students" program. This is a great way for 10th and 11th grade students to get a head start on earning college credit. They recommend students have an 80% or higher overall average to participate. All courses are only $99 and are offered through ECC North and South Campuses. Applications and payment are due by June 1, 2007. Brochures are available from the counseling center and at http://www.ecc.edu/academics/hssummer.asp
Military Connection:
The Navy recruiter will be available to meet with interested students Wednesday, May 16 During lunch periods.
Seniors:
Looking for a summer job that could turn into a career? NYSEG is looking for meter reader-collectors in the lockport area. Career Corner -
Is you child considering a nursing career? Students with a high school diploma can receive FREE training for the NY State Practical Nursing licence through the Cassadaga Job Corps. Participants also receive free room and board or they can choose to commute and still receive all Job Corps student benefits - including up to $1000 upon graduation.
