Lake Shore will soon have a District wide tool to communicate immediately with parents, guardians, staff and the entire school community.  Global Connect is a Parent Notification System that will soon be utilized in our District.

Through Global Connect, broadcasts can be created and distributed within minutes of a situation that should be communicated to our school community.  Our District, along with each individual school, will have the ability to communicate with parents in a unique way.  Parents will receive a District or school message via their telephone through the Global Connect Notification System. 

Messages may include:

• - School Closings
• - Emergency Situations
• - General Announcements
• - Time Sensitive Information
• - Cancellations/Calendar Changes

The system will call a designated phone number and present the information/message that pertains to the Lake Shore Central School District or one of our schools.  The recorded message will be sent to the current telephone number on file with the School District.  As parents/guardians, you can assist in this process by updating your contact information through the school office that your child attends.

We plan to test the system in early February and then use it when an important message is warranted.  Please feel free to contact the main office of your child’s school with any contact information changes.
