BMX World Champion, Matt Wilhelm performs amazing bike stunts while educating students about bicycle safety, healthy living and becoming a champion.

This special presentation will be held on Monday, February 11th at 7:00 pm and is brought to Lake Shore as part of the Brant PTG spring fundraiser.  Brant PTG and students are selling advanced tickets to the performance which will be held at the JTWaugh Elementary gymnasium to accommodate a larger audience.  Tickets are $2.00 and can be purchased through the Brant PTG, a student attending Brant Elementary, or if seats are still available, at the door.

More about Matt

After finishing in last place at his first X-Games, Matt refused to give up and rose to win X-Games Medals in the US, Brazil, and Korea.  By letting the students view these medals up cloes they serve as  a concrete example of his perseverance.  He wond many of these competitions while attending Millikin Universit on a music scholarship, where he graduates Magna Cum Laude.  Matt tells students, “You can be good at sports, music or the arts, and do well in school, as long as you try hard and do not give up.”

In addition to Matt’s success story, he has many other themes to compliment his performance including Character Counts, goal setting and perseverance.  Students attending will also learn essential bicycle safety information such as how wearing a helmet saved Matt’s life and how to approach the three common places where bicycle accidents occur.

Students and adults alike will enjoy this presentation!  Don’t miss this special event!
