On Wednesday, April 9th, the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Team faced Sweet Home in our second league game of the season. Lake Shore came on strong from the start, going ahead early in the first half and staying ahead all game long. The girls were able to defeat Sweet Home by a score of 16-9. This was a huge improvement, as Sweet Home defeated Lake Shore during both regular season games last year. The attack maintained possession of the ball for the majority of the game making quick cuts and taking smart shots on goal. Our leading scorer of the day was Lauren Scanlan with 10 goals. Lindsay John and Kelsey McKeown each had 2. Shelby Will and Miranda Schultz each had 1. Assists were made by Lindsay John with 4, Cat McCulle with 2, Lauren Scanlan with 2 and Emily Lemmo, Kelsey McKeown and Lauren Stevens each with 1. Impressive offensive support was also put forth by Brittany Mazzu, Rose Russo, Brooke Gadomski, Linsey Heferle and Jessica Tunis. All of their efforts helped to support the win.

Their hard work made a big difference in the game's end result. The girls look to continue their winning streak tomorrow at North Tonawanda at 4:30.
