On Thursday, April 10th, the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Team traveled to North Tonawanda to face the Lady Jacks for the second time this season. Despite missing a few key players, the Lady Eagles were able to come out on top, defeating North Tonawanda by a score of 17-4. This improves their record to 4-0-0 this season. Cat McCulle took on the role of goalkeeper for the first time, impressing everyone with her skillful play. She made 8 saves during the game. The attack kept North Tonwanda busy moving the ball quickly. Goals were scored by Lauren Scanlan with 5, Lindsay John with 3, Kelsey McKeown, Lauren Stevens and Shelby Will with 2, Kelsey Lay, Brittany Mazzu and Rose Russo with 1. Assists were made by Kelsey McKeown with 4, Lauren Scanlan with 3, and Kelsey Lay and Lindsay John with 1 each. Miranda Schultz, Brooke Gadomski, Linsey Heferle and Jessica Tunis were also offensive threats. The defense did their best to keep North Tonawanda's attack away from the goalkeeper. These hardworking players included Rachel Catalano, Katie Bacho, Destiny Sampson and Amanda Thiel. The girls will take some time to rest and recover over spring break and will not begin game play again until Tuesday, April 22nd. The girls look to three tough league games against Grand Island, West Seneca West and Hamburg when they return from break. Our next home game is Saturday, April 26th at 10:00 at J.T. The Girls JV lacrosse team beat North Tonawanda on Thursday, April 10th with a score of 21-0. The girls played well together and everyone on the team contributed to the win. Goals were scored by Marissa Haring with 4, Hannah Mason with 3, Jamie Atkinson, Amber Breeden, Ashley Friedman, Aryien Stevens, Sarah Voelker and Jessica Westley all with 2 and Laura Atkinson and Nisah Loret each with 1. Assists came from Laura Atkinson, Marissa Haring, Meagan Hayden, Hannah Mason, Megan Moss, Carie Orcutt, Sam Stepowski, and Aryien Stevens. Bethany Davis made three saves in net and recorded her first shutout of the season. Great teamwork girls! Go Eagles!
