The JV Girl's softball team overcame a 6 - 2 deficit late in their game against Gowanda yesterday afternoon. Alisa Butlak started the rally with a sacrafice fly to center field to drive in two runs for the Eagles. Freshman Ashleigh Mancini drove in 3 runs with a triple in the 6th inning and Sara DeBardinis droe in 2 runs with a double to left field. Hits also came from Jill Reitz, Paige Tilert, Nikki Kreuzer, Rebecca Balone, and Allison Lonkey to help the Eagles cause. Freshman, Sara Rieman, pitched all 7 innings. She had 12 strike outs, 3 walks, and allowed only 2 hits on the day. Rieman was also 2 for 3 at the plate and also walked twice. The Eagles next game is Tuesday, April 22nd against Iroquois.
Matt Boye had a pair of hits and an rbi, but the Varsity Baseball team dropped a 9-3 decision at Fredonia. Jim Evancho, Bill Peterson, Jason Radwan, and Dan Voncina each had basehits.
In their toughest game of the young season the Boy's JV Lacrosse team defeated Gowanda 16-10. Inspired goaltending by Carl Stevens stop an intense 3rd quarter scoring run by Gowanda. The team next defends the Nest on Weds the 23 against Williamsville East at 5:00 pm.
