SNOW SHOEING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Students in Grades 1 - 5 will be participating in snow shoeing beginning on Monday, January 12, 2009. So please be sure to send your child to school properly dressed for the weather on days when they have PE classes. In order to participate, they will need to wear winter coats, hats, gloves, boots, and winter pants (i.e. warm ups, wind pants) if possible. Jeans if at all possible, should not be worn because when they get wet they stay wet all day long.
- PARENTS
Our annual Christmas Basket Food Drive is now underway. Those that wish to participate in this worthwhile project are asked to bring in donations of canned foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and juices, or dry foods such as rice, cereal, crackers, cake mixes. All canned items must be in metal containers and items that are commercially prepared can be distributed to needy families. Donated items can be sent in with your child or please feel free to drop them off when visiting school.
Your donations will help make this holiday season a little more enjoyable for those that need this assistance. Your donations may be placed in the decorated box under the Christmas Tree in the lobby. We will be accepting donations until Tuesday, December 16th.
