The Lady Eagles Varsity Softball team earned their first league win of the season knocking off WNY #5 large school Hamburg 11-5.  Kelsey Anthon pitched a complete game and the Eagles played great defense to shut down Hamburg's big hitting line-up.  The offense came alive in the 5th inning.  Down 2-1, Anthon singled and went to second on a passed ball.  Ashleigh Mancini hit a ground rule double to tie the game and with smart base running was able to score herself on a passed ball.  In the sixth, clutch hitting Andrea Reitz had a huge two out two run single to put Lake Shore up 5-2.  With the rain falling, the Eagles' bats kept putting pressure on Hamburg's defense and scored 3 runs in the 6th and 5 runs in the 7th.  All of the Eagles recorded at least one hit.  Kaileigh Hubbard continues to swing a hot bat had 3 hits and Paige Anderson added 2.  Myriah Rammacher had her third straight hit. The Lady Eagles next game is home on Tuesday against Williamsville South.

Last night the Modified Baseball team finished out the season with a 9-7 win over host Pioneer.  In what turned out to be a rain soaked game the boys turned in a stellar performance.  Being down early in the game the team worked their way back on strong pitching and good base running.  John Inglut went 2 for 4,  Anthony George, and Tyler Freeman both went 2 for 2 on the day.  Both Matt Brozozowiec and Anthony George  did a great job behind the plate saving potential winning runs with their strong defense.  The team finished the season with a 6-3-1 record.  Mr. Coyle would like to congratulate the team on an outstanding season and for making Lake Shore proud with their competitiveness and Sportsmanship."

The Boys Modified Lacrosse team picked up their second victory of the year with a 5-3 win against the Chiefs of Iroquois. Lucas Beaver had a pair of goals and Matt Valliere, Dillon Schindler, and Dan Abrams scored for the visiting Eagles. Mark Kennedy shut out the Chiefs for 2 quarters in net with the defensive help of Joe Catalano, CJ Mascio, Dennis Rammacher, and Ronnie Thompson. The Eagles will travel to Amherst Saturday morning for a 10 AM tilt with the Tigers.
