With their best performance of the year, the Girls Varsity Swimming 
and diving team battled with Clarence last night but fell 111 to 67.

First Place finishes were :

Marguerite O'Connor in the 200 Freestyle, 100 Fly and 200 Free Relay
Kalina Bracoo in the 50 Free and 200 Free Relay
Hailey Kane and Katie Bartha in the 200 Free Relay.

The Lake Shore Golf team was defeated by Eden at the Gowanda Country Club on 10/7/08. Medalist was Rick Sojda.

The Girls Tennis team lost a match to Will. South 4-1.  Winners for Lake Shore were First Doubles Team Amanda Borowiak and Becca Hontz.  The girls travel to Iroquois today for the last league match.

The Lake Shore Girls J.V. Volleyball team won last nights contest against rival Starpoint in convincing fashion.  The Eagles dominated the first game winning 25-5, with key contributions from Kalie Michalski, Taryn White, Allison Lonkey, Samantha Dawley, Brooke Walker, and Kiarra Majors.  The Eagles continued with their winning ways in the 2nd game, winning 25-23, with solid performances by Jessica Ludwig, Tess Baker, Abby Koerner, Mackenzie Spaulding, and Ashley Cournyea.  The Eagles also won the third game of the match, 25-17 to finish off the sweep!! During the third game, the Eagles maintained their intensity and great performances were turned in by Shannon Danzi, and Hannah McNamara, Samantha Dawley, Kalie Michalski, and Taryn White.  The Eagles next match is against Williamsville South on Tuesday October, 14 at 5:00 pm.   

The Boys JV soccer team lost at home against Sweet Home on Tuesday by a score of 1-0.  The game was back and forth with many chances for both teams, but only one goal was scored.  While they have not been able to secure many wins recently, the Eagles have shown impressive improvement in their play as a team across the past several weeks.  Strong defensive play was turned in by co-captain Dylan Kelly, Silas Panfil, Jason Mende, and Robert Barlett.  Chris Duffey played great again in goal for the team.  Lake Shore's next game is Thursday 10/08, when they host Hamburg.

The Girls Modified Volleyball team defeated the Starpoint Spartans yesterday 20-10, 20-11, 23-21, 20-8, and 20-15.  Katherine Martynowicz, Madison McDonagh, Lauren Gotsch, and Jolee Johnson all served well for the Eagles.  Excellent passes were made by Elizabeth Lane, Darian Winters, and Michaela Stepniak.  The Lady Eagles are now 7-0, and will host West Seneca East on Friday.
