On Tuesday, September 30, and Wednesday, October 1, 2008, the Middle School hosted twenty-six Chinese students from Jilin Middle School. The students arrived early Tuesday morning, and began living the life of a "typical American Middle School student". They attended academic classes, went to exploratories, ate lunch in the cafeteria, and worked on a collaborative Art project.
As their time at the Middle School progressed, we learned many things about each other, and about the educational systems we come from. We are very excited to maintain our collaborative relationship, and we look forward to welcoming additional delegations in the future. I am very proud of our students and faculty for the warm welcome they extended.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Middle School Faculty & Staff, the Middle School students, and to the families that hosted the 26 students from Jilin Middle School in Changchun China. Your efforts and patience make this rare and unique experience truly memorable.
